Just found a picture of the Lunatics. Crap hey?
First off, does anyone remember Bugs Bunny? Everybody does right? Anyway, they have decided to 'remake' Bugs Bunny. The word 'remake' always makes me shudder. Do they remake the 'Mona Lisa'? No and for good reason. This new show 'Lunatics' is set in the year 2772. Wait, it gets worse. There are 6 'remade' characters - Bugs Bunney (now called Buzz Bunny), Wile. E. Coyote, Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Tasmanian Devil and that female Bugs Bunny character introduced in the movie Space Jam (told you it got worse). And did I mention that they now have super powers? Right....
There's two things that have really been annoying me about Firefox lately.
Why Nintendo Why? What did we do to deserve this? I've bought every system since the NES. I've supported you through the tough times of the 64 and the GameCube. I defended you when people said you were for kiddies. I believed the hype about Wind Waker and sat through those long boring sea adventures. I watched as other's enjoyed games such as Ico and Grand Theft Auto whilst I was left with yet another Mario theme game. And then you go and do this. You call your next system the Nintendo Wii. Yes that's right people - Wii (pronounced 'we'). How can you not laugh when you hear that.
So, our project team has decided that C# will be the language the system will be written in. I tried (really hard!) to sway them towards Visual Basic, but all of DCS's negative rhetoric and slander about VB has given it a poor name (and hence, the other team members were reluctant to endorse it).
There's one thing that's reeeally gotten me worked up about C#: It's overly verbose. It doesn't appear to have any concept of optional arguments (other than through function overloading)!
Allow me to present a simple example: Opening a file in a Word object.
Why do you vote? You vote for 2 reasons:
1) You pay taxes and thus have a right to say how your tax dollars are spent
2) You are held accountable to all laws and thus should have a say on what laws there are and their associated punishments
Corporations pay taxes and are accountable to a variety of laws and punishments yet they have no direct say in how their tax dollars are spent nor any say on the laws concerning them.
If we weren't meant to eat meat, then why does it taste so good? Our bodies have a very simple mechanism to discriminate between things that are good for it, and things that are bad for it: taste. Sure, the mechanism is easily fallible (think: Midori), but in general, it's pretty damn good.
Having known quite a few vegetarians and vegans, often their concern is whether they're getting enough iron in their diet. Shockily enough, they're all female. Most of them take iron supplements (in the form of tablets). Which is more natural? Eating a steak, or consuming a tablet?
Mainly out of procrastination (lots of uni work), I decided to re-do the journals section.
Enjoy!
If you find any bugs, let me know...
The 60's, 70's & 80's were defined by the Cold War. By the battle between Capitalism & Communism. This was a battle about the economy and the way it was supposed to be run. On the one hand you had a free market system where private individuals could run their own business with little government intervention. The other side promoted government co-ordinated businesses with no private business.

Yet another reason not to buy D-Link products? I can't count the number of issues I've (and people I know) have had with D-Link products...
