The End

So I just handed in my resignation and the shit should hit the fan tomorrow. This thread will document what happens as it happens. I will be in the office on Wednesday so that's when all the action should occur.

This will end my 7 year working relationship with KFC. It's been a long time coming but the end is near! Stay tuned.

Announcement

I got a job at the ACCC! As some of you may be aware KFC did not offer me a fair package so I decided to seek other employment. A good friend of mine got me an interview at the ACCC and they contacted me today to offer me the job. I start work at the ACCC on the 23rd of October.

I have worked for KFC for many years and was looking forward to working for them, but that is not to be. I will be handing my resignation in on Wednesday and I will be blogging about it live. So come back to realmtech on Wednesday to witness as the shit hits the fan at KFC.

Webmaster stupidity

There are some people who really shouldn't be allowed to have their own website. Sure, there's the people who select horrendous colours (like red on green), or use frames, but I'm talking about an elite class here. Or so they think they are.

For some reason, I stumbled across "afv-13's" blog. In the top-right hand corner is a small notice warning visitors that Internet Explorer users won't see the site as intended.

Ruby On Rails. Wow!

I played around with Rails awhile ago and was slightly impressed but felt that it was not powerful enough or required to much fiddling to get anything powerful done. This was probably also due to the level of web coding competency I was at. I wasn't ready for the things that Ruby on Rails had to offer.

Recently I have been building more expandable coding in PHP (like a FormConstructor etc) and have been thinking of ways to make my coding easier. Enter Ruby on Rails again! The tutorials on the net are a bit more mature now and the documentation is improving.

The Retaliation

You may remember the cartoons of Mohammod that caused the deaths of atleast 72 people (over a fricken cartoon!), caused millions of dollars of damage against churches and christian businesses. Here is a google map mash-up of where the deaths occurred. Quite scary really.

Worst coffee on earth

People at uni are often critical about the coffee on campus; particularly at Calypso. But I can guarantee I've had a worse coffee than you. If you can even call it "coffee".

There's a cafe in the basement of the Transact building (on Northbourne Ave) called "Downunder". Perhaps the name is akin to the quality of the coffee.
